We drove to Palm Springs and went on the Palm Springs Ariel Tramway. Captain was none too thrilled to be on this thing that dipped and swayed after each pole, but once we got to the top, he was running free. We ate lunch at the top and walked around and saw the view, but didn't take any photos as we were dealing with the kids and all their stuff. It started raining after we started eating lunch outside, so we moved inside, then Burbles needed to eat, then she wanted to lay out on the table with nothing and noone touching her. My friend and I got a lot of good visiting in and we are really excited that she will be flying back to Wisconsin/Minnesota at the end of August. The weather at the top was wonderful--a whole 20 degrees cooler than in the desert, and we spent almost 2 hours at the top. Had the kids been a little older, we would have considered walking on some of the closer trails, but as it was, we stayed close to the main building.
After the Tram, we drove back to Gummie and Guppy's house. My Uncle R and Aunt K were there and we visited with them for a while and then we all went out to eat. That night after my Aunt and Uncle left, we visited with my college friend some more and finally got to sleep at about midnight. Burbles was up again throughout the night, and once again, I didn't get much sleep.
